Dubai, UAE | February 2, 2026 — Yacoby (born Jacob Abrian), the Italian artist with Argentinian roots and a long-standing presence in Dubai's creative landscape, received the Outstanding Contribution to Fashion Economy Award, recognizing his enduring impact, leadership, and influence across global fashion ecosystems.

The recognition honors Yacoby’s pivotal role in shaping and elevating fashion on an international stage through vision, cultural dialogue, and the development of creative infrastructure that has connected regional talent, with global platforms. Over the past decade, his work has helped redefine how fashion from Dubai is perceived, produced, and positioned worldwide, while also reinforcing his relevance within Europe and other key markets.

This award places Yacoby among the most respected figures in contemporary fashion, acknowledging a body of work that extends beyond aesthetics into cultural advocacy and long-term industry building. His influence has bridged markets, fostered collaboration, and contributed to a broader global understanding of fashion as a dynamic, innovative, and cross-cultural force.  This year’s ceremony also brought together honorees Brunello Cucinelli, recognized for his outstanding contribution to fashion, and Giuseppe Marsocci, CEO of Armani, honored in recognition of Giorgio Armani’s legacy, both of whom were present at the event.

The honor was presented during the Dubai Mall Festival of Fashion – Global Fashion Awards, hosted at the iconic Burj Khalifa in Dubai, the world’s tallest building, a high-visibility international platform that brought together industry leaders, creatives, and cultural figures from across the world. For Yacoby, the recognition reinforces his role as a global creative voice and ambassador, while underscoring the international relevance of a vision deeply informed by his strong ties to the global community.

Being recognized for my contribution to fashion is deeply meaningful,” Yacoby shares. “Dubai has been central to my creative journey, shaping not only my work, but my perspective on culture, identity, and collaboration. This acknowledgment reflects years of collective effort and belief in the power of creativity without borders.”

Beyond prestige, the award strengthens Yacoby’s international profile at a moment when his creative universe continues to expand across disciplines. In parallel with his fashion legacy, Yacoby has also been building a presence in music, having launched his debut single “Like a Bee” last year with a strong focus on the Latin market, and is currently preparing to release new music in the coming months. As he enters this new chapter under his artistic identity Yacoby, this recognition affirms the foundation of cultural leadership that underpins all of his creative pursuits.

With this honor, Yacoby’s legacy within global fashion is formally recognized, marking not just a milestone, but a lasting contribution that continues to influence the creative industry across regions and generations.
