The Monterrey-born artist performed at one of Mexico's most iconic venues before a crowd that received him as one of their own

Miami, FL, August 3, 2026. Some nights can't be explained, only felt. This past weekend, Raúl Hernández Jr. stood on the stage of Arena Monterrey before more than 17,000 people and lived one of those moments that define a career: performing at home, in Monterrey, Nuevo León, the city where he was born and where he lives, and making it his in a way no biography could fully anticipate.

The night opened with Los Populares del Llano, followed by Raúl Hernández Jr. in the headline slot, with Los Alegres del Barranco closing the evening. But beyond the lineup, what defined the night was its symbolic weight: an artist from that very city, standing on one of the most important stages in the country, surrounded by family, friends, and a crowd that received him as exactly what he is, one of their own.

The setlist left nothing out. Raúl opened with "El Dorado," the track he recorded alongside Lalo Mora Jr. that carries the weight of two generations in every note, and moved through his catalog with the confidence of someone who knows exactly where he stands. "De La Tierra Al Cielo," his most recent single under Warner México, rang through the arena marking the first time it was performed live. "Pero No Les Digas," "En La Habitación," "El Cariño de mi Madre" and "Quiéreme Como Te Quiero" were among the songs the crowd sang from beginning to end.

For Raúl Hernández Jr., stepping onto the Arena Monterrey stage was not just another stop on his tour. It was his first time on that stage, in that arena, in his city. The kind of night an artist carries with them forever, not only because the crowd showed up, but because the place itself says everything about the road it took to get there.
