The collaboration connects regional Mexican music with Colombian música popular to revive one of Voz de Mando's most recognized songs.

Juan Pablo Márquez had already brought "Pa' Que No Me Anden Contando" into his own sound in 2019; seven years later, the song returns in a new version alongside Jessi Uribe and Voz de Mando.

MIAMI, FL. (September 18, 2026) — Nearly a decade after its original release, "Pa' Que No Me Anden Contando" returns in a new version that brings together Voz de Mando, Jessi Uribe and Juan Pablo Márquez, connecting regional Mexican music with Colombian música popular. The song, written by Joss Favela and Luciano Luna, was originally recorded by Voz de Mando and released in late 2016 as one of the lead tracks on their album Clase de Historia (2017).

Since its release, the song has connected with an idea deeply rooted in regional Mexican music: living experiences firsthand. Its lyrics speak to enjoying life, friends, celebration and the things earned through hard work, without waiting for someone else to describe how those experiences feel. That is where the phrase that captures the song's spirit comes from: "pa' que no me anden contando."

The song's impact was evident from its first weeks. In December 2016, monitorLATINO recorded a jump from 92 to 709 radio spins in the United States in a single week, placing it at number one on its Hot Song General USA chart. Over time, "Pa' Que No Me Anden Contando" became a staple in Voz de Mando's catalog and now surpasses 15 million streams on Spotify.

Now, Voz de Mando revisits the song alongside Jessi Uribe and Juan Pablo Márquez to give it new life and bring it to new generations and audiences. The collaboration preserves the essence of the original while also representing the meeting point between two musical scenes that have found increasing common ground: regional Mexican music and Colombian música popular, built around a message that still resonates: enjoying what's been lived, celebrating what's been earned, and experiencing things for yourself.
