The Colombian artist begins the Verraco Vibe era with a song that takes a popular Antioquian expression to portray the complicity, humor, and codes of an entire generation
Miami, FL. July 30, 2026. Juan Duque begins a new era with “Songo Sorongo,” the first installment of Verraco Vibe, a project built around authenticity, the drive to get ahead, and pride in being Latino.
Inspired by an expression very common in Antioquia, “Songo Sorongo” combines the essence of reggaeton's early days with a production that sets the tone from the very first moment: recocha, an Antioquian expression for celebrating, joking around, and enjoying time with friends.
Speaking about the essence of this release and what it represents in his artistic evolution, Juan Duque said:
“Songo Sorongo is for the reckless ones, the jokers, for anyone who wants to have a great time understanding the vibe. I made it from who I am, hanging out in Marinilla with my cousins, laughing, having a drink, and just living in the moment.”
“Songo Sorongo is an expression used a lot in Antioquia, where I'm from. It describes something done on the sly, like someone playing innocent, without raising much suspicion. So the song is for people who act like a couple without actually being one, without anyone noticing,” added Wawa.
The arrival of “Songo Sorongo” coincides with the Un Desorden con los Primos World Tour 2026, the tour taking Juan Duque across international stages. After his appearance at Mexico's Festival Tecate Emblema, he continues through July with shows in several cities in Spain.
In August he will kick off his first tour of the United States, with confirmed dates in Miami, Orlando, Atlanta, Chicago and New Jersey. The tour coincides with a new milestone in his career: his recent nomination for the 2026 Premios Juventud, where he will compete in the New Generation - Male Artist and Latin Afrobeat of the Year categories. The ceremony, held for the first time this year in Marbella, Spain, arrives during a period of growth for the artist, who now reaches more than 4.6 million monthly listeners on Spotify.
