Miami, FL | February 20, 2026 — Juan Duque did more than attend the 38th edition of Premio Lo Nuestro 2026 following his nomination for Breakthrough Male Artist. He turned the red carpet into a statement of identity, culture, and connection.

Proud of his Antioquian roots, the Colombian artist arrived at the Kaseya Center carrying a thermos filled with traditional café en aguapanela, a staple from his home region of Antioquia, Colombia. Throughout the evening, he shared the coffee with fellow artists, and media members who interviewed him, transforming a routine red carpet appearance into a meaningful cultural moment.

Duque offered coffee to artists such as Maluma and Carlos Baute. In multiple interviews, several reporters noted that no artist had ever taken the time to show such a thoughtful gesture toward them, describing it as an authentic act of appreciation and warmth. For Juan Duque, the gesture was not only about tradition, but about making others feel valued.

During the ceremony, Juan Duque also served as a presenter for the Tropical Album of the Year category, further expanding his presence on one of Latin music’s most important stages. His nomination for Breakthrough Male Artist reaffirmed the steady growth he has built both in Colombia and internationally.

Beyond the awards show, Duque completed an intense promotional week in Miami, participating in media interviews and official events that strengthened his positioning within the U.S. market.

This nomination came within the context of major recent achievements, including the closing of his Tremendo Tourcito 2025 with multiple sold-out dates across Latin America and Europe, his debut at the 2025 Billboard Latin Music Awards, and the release of his latest single “Botecito” alongside Hamilton, a track that opened 2026 with a fresh sound rooted in Caribbean spirit.

Juan Duque’s presence at Premio Lo Nuestro represented more than a nomination. It was a declaration of origin and purpose. On a global stage, he chose to carry the flavor of his homeland with him, proving that international growth and cultural pride go hand in hand.

With a clear vision and a strong commitment to his roots, Juan Duque continues advancing into a defining stage of international expansion, bringing not only his music to new audiences, but also the essence of Antioquia.
