Miami, FL, July 10, 2026. In the span of just a few days, Edgardo Nuñez, who released yesterday his new single “Bendecido”,  proved without a shadow of a doubt what many already know: that there are artists who fill stages, and then there is him, who also fills moments.

Recorded in Mexico City, the Amazon Music City Sessions special became one of the most impactful live events in música mexicana so far this year. For 90 minutes, Nuñez displayed his full dimension as an artist: unreleased tracks, an intimate behind-the-scenes, interviews, and a special appearance by Adrián L. Santos, all in front of a select group of fans who earned their spot through the Stream to Win dynamic. The result was broadcast simultaneously on Amazon Music, Prime Video, Twitch and TikTok, bringing together more than 9,000 people in real time from every corner of the world. It was not a concert. It was a statement.

The set list spoke for itself. From the power of “Billete Grande” and “El Ruddy” to the tenderness of “Muchachita de Ojos Tristes” and the euphoria of “Tu Tu Tu,” Nuñez moved through his catalog with the ease of someone who knows exactly what his songs are worth. The mariachi moment performing “El Rey” added a layer of depth and roots that stopped time: an image that captured, in an instant, everything música mexicana can be when it is played by someone who truly feels it.

But if the Amazon Music City Sessions were the fire being lit, the FIFA Fan Fest at the Zócalo in Mexico City was the explosion. In one of the most iconic public spaces in Latin America, with thousands of fans gathered under the same passion for football and music, Edgardo Nuñez turned the plaza into a celebration without category. Age, style, and background meant nothing: children, young people, and adults sang in one voice “Paz en Este Amor,” “Vengache Pa’ Acá,” and “Dos Banderas.” Merging the euphoria of the World Cup with the soul of música mexicana is something few artists can pull off. He did it effortlessly.

What happened in Mexico City was the culmination of a long road, built note by note, city by city, platform by platform. With more than 140 million video streams, collaborations with Junior H, Peso Pluma, Oscar Ortiz and Xavi, and a fan base that keeps growing, Edgardo Nuñez enters the second half of 2026 as what he already is: one of the most complete and consistent artists of his generation.

The next chapter is already underway, with new material on the way and more confirmed dates across the United States and Mexico. Those who saw him at the Zócalo already know it. Those who weren’t there are just now finding out.
